  • I am on my third week and I have only lost..

    4 pounds. :sarcasm I feel like I should of lost atleast 6 or 7 pounds. I just think of how I use to eat and how I eat now and it seems like I should have lost more. I haven't had bread or chips or anything like that in 3 weeks. Has anyone else had such slow weight loss? Any tips?
    Start Weight 128
    Weight Now 123
    Goal Weight 115

    you only had 13 lbs to lose... it's gonna be slow. just hang in there.

      Have you read the Atkins book? According to him most people lose about 5-10% of what they NEED to lose in the first two weeks of induction... since you don't have a lot to lose I think the 4 lbs is AWESOME!!

      How are you doing atkins? Are you still on Induction? Are you planning on moving through the phases to OWL and Pre Maintainance and Lifetime Maintainance...If you haven't read the WHOLE BOOK completely then I would suggest that you do..he has a LOT of wonderful WISDOM in there on why your last 5 lbs should take you MONTHS to lose. I just read the whole thing through last night and I'm really glad I did it gives a MUCH better outlook/idea/plan etc than JUST induction..thats only a very SMALL part of the whole plan.

        well i agree with the others- i jsut wanted to tell you not to give up it may go very slow since you dont have a lot to lose but it sticking it out will be so worth it in the end :wave

          As suggested it would be a good idea to move on to OWL now so you can lose the last few pounds in Pre-maintenance.

          F/60 yrs/5ft 5.5" (Though due to collapsing vertebrae I am now only 5'3" - but I refuse to recalculate my BMI )
