I don't see anything in dayquil that would cause a stall - I'm sure your body is just busy fighting off the flu. And yes it is ok to take it.

lol I searched the pharmacy (drugstore) high and low for some sugar free throat lozenges. Best thing I've found for it though is just sucking on a chewable vit c tablet. There should be some sugar free cough drops though, if I can find them here in NZ, you'll be able to get some. I know difflam makes some if you have that brand there.

awwww :hug hope you feel better soon try drinking lots and lots of water as it will help you feel better. ask for maybe diabetic couph drops at a pharmacy...
