    Hi!

    I am new here to this message board, but not new to Atkins. I was on Atkins a couple of years ago and lost about 20-25 lbs. I was on induction for that whole length of time, maybe 6 mos., and only went off because I was dismayed at how much hair I began to lose. I went to WW and lost another 15 lbs. with them and am now about 20 lbs. away from my goal. I am trying an experiment now though. I like WW -- love the meetings and support -- BUT I am on a plateau, I am always hungry and I have sugar cravings that are unstoppable! I've decided to give Atkins a try again, but I'm not going to stay on induction as long this time. Maybe that will forestall the hair loss.

    Anyway, I feel like I'm new to it all again as I've forgotten everything I used to eat when I was on it before! Would any of you be nice enough to post a typical day's menu for yourself? I'd like to get some ideas and suggestions. Thanks!

    :wave Welcome- congrats on the loss that you have had so far!! You need to be taking a multi vitamin and that should help with the hair loss as well as getting the water in and veggies. I am not the best person for advice on menus but you can go to the menu forum or recipies adn they have great idea there, or go tot the F&Q forum, and towards the bottom of that forum are examples of food and a list of all the acceptable foods. well good luck, and remebr since you dont have alot to lose it is not going to come off all at once- good luck, you will be at your goal beofre you even realize it :hug

      Thank you for the nice welcome! I do take vitamins, every day. I'm a vitamin-freak and have been for as long as I can remember. When other kids were blowing their allowances on make-up and candy and movies, I was buying vitamins and books like Earl Mindell's Vitamin Bible! My mother couldn't believe the number of vitamin companies that would send an 12 year old catalogs, but heck, they didn't know I was only 12! To them, my money was just as good as 42 year olds. LOL! I make everyone in my house take vitamins too.

      I'm not looking for a quick weight loss. If I get it, great, but if I don't, that's okay too. I just want to stop gaining and losing the same 3 lbs., which is what I've been doing for the last couple of months. I do want to get to my goal weight and that's definitely where I'm heading, but I'm okay where I'm at. Mainly, I had to get rid of those sugar cravings! They were so intense and nothing I tried worked! I knew I had to get back to Atkins to get that monster under control for good! Fortunately, even after being on Atkins for only a few days, I feel a lot better in that regard!
