hiya, I am back on the wagon this moring, i went for a chinese meal last night at one of those all you can eat places, totaly stuffed myself silly, when we got home I felt that i was suddenly starving again and tucked into some ben and jerrys!

I woke up this moring feeling like a total pig, bloated and tired. So i went to the supermatket and stocked up, I have done the diet many times, but thinking about what i ate last night and how i felt hungery again shortly afterwards just reaffirmed in my mind that the atkins way is so much better, i always feel in control and satisfied when doing atkins, and having my blood suger stable means i never feel starving hungery!

so wish me luck, i weighed in this morning at.............183 Ib's........my goal is 140 Ib's.......am so happy this morning that I am geting myself out of the rut I have created.

    well done

Well Done for your determination to get back on the horse again.Sometimes it takes some time for us to reaslise how much we want it. Ohhh Chinese...I have such cravings for that :sadblinky but i know that if we stick to this then we will feel such an achievement and more confidence in the end.Im only on day 4 and it hard, but im trying to stick at it as im 200lbs and need to get to 150lbs.OHHH it a lot :help but sometimes in life we just have to keep our chin up and look forward and try to do the best we can. You have taken the first and hardest step by telling yourself you want and need it and going to get some of the atkins food. Well done... as now all you have to do is stick with it for a week and when you see you have lost some weight it will give you motivation to carry one.Best of luck Gill :hug

Hey ya sabinaone :wave :wave :wave
I'm glad you recognised your problem and that your willing to get back on the wagon immediately. There is noone here on this site that you will message who wont have had a problem along their new way of eating.
I too had my ups and downs and im willing to restart again with more determination recognising more pitfalls than when i first got started.
Now the best advice would be to reread the DANDR. Prepare your kitchen for this way of life. And follow its advice and content strictly. Soon you will see the pounds melting away. Dont forget take measure ments of body so that you can also see how many inches ure losing. :nod :nod
Good luck and keep it going!!!! :yes :yes

That crappy feeling (I'm just talking the physical crappiness) is enough to make you thing twice before diving off the deep end!

For me, that feeling is just not worth the cheat!

I've been there Sabinaone. I had been on Atkins cheat free for 6 months and had planned a trip home for x-mas. I planned to go off Atkins for the week I was there and git back on the wagon when I returned home. While there I ate like any other person, cookies, frosting, bread, pasta, etc. I felt tired all the time and was constantly hungary even though I was physically full (stomach bulging).

By the time I got back I was so excited to get back on Atkins to rid myself of feeling so lethargic. In seven days I put on 20 pounds. That must be some kind of record. I was able to lose what I put on in about two weeks.

It only reaffirmed in my eyes that I cannot go back to my old ways and I don't want to go back. I don't want to feel like that anymore.

          Best of luck to you.
