  • Induction Flu

    Hi Everyone,
I am new to Atkins...I have read the book cover to cover and am doing a clean induction. I started on Tuesday and ever since my body depleted its stored sugar supply I have felt like I have the flu. I have read through some posts and see people referring to "induction flu." I am somewhat worried because I am a teacher and everyone around me has the real flu. How long can I expect this to last? I am taking Tylenol to help with the muscle aches and headaches. And, what are the symtoms? Thanks!

You'll be tired and feel a little bit yuckola for a few days, but if you really vomit, that's not Atkins. That's the nose-breather down in classroom 3-A.

Hang in there and drink your water!

Sounds like induction flu to me. One of the complaints is generally a headache as many of us are addited to caffeine and so thats added to the mix. If you have a fever, I would suspect its the real flu or a bad cold. Chicken soup, asprine, water, more water, lots of water :icondance :icondance
