You need to check the ingredients and make sure they are made with one of the sweeteners listed in the allowed list of foods.
Also remember that we are allowed a maximum of three servings of any sweetener - including drinks and foods/treats - so keep to that number.
Dr Atkins didnt actually mention jello as being 'legal'. He suggested making your own from unsweetened gelatine and a legal sweetener as an occasional treat - not a daily dessert.

From my own experience, SF Jello was a lifesaver and never slowed down my weightloss the first time around. This time around I'm not a big fan of Jello, so I haven't tried it. I believe the SF Kool-aid might be OK. My husband drinks it and actually has lost too much weight (he was a healthy weight and joined this WOE to support me but now is adding back a lot of the later rungs of OWL foods to keep his weight on) but I'm sure each body reacts differently.
I would say use sparingly and if it doesnt seem to stall your loss, your body must react decently to fake sugars/aspartame and you can continue.
I like the sugar free jello. I bought a bunch of different flavors last night as a matter a fact. I also bought a carton of heavy whipping cream and made cool-whip to go on it!
There is actually an excellent recipe on here to make a home made jello with koolaid packs and splenda and geletin. Lemme find it and I will post it for ya!
