  • leg cramps and nutrients

    Hi

I'm on day 3 of my first induction into Atkins and I've been experiencing leg cramps. I have read about it in the book and as it says, I am losing weight really quickly (5.9lbs in 3 days) and this is probably causing me to be low in potassium etc.

I don't really want to take supplements but does anyone know of any induction friendly foods that will help?

    thank you

    Kim :wave

I can't find the article, I'm looking, but there's a really good one that suggests calcium/magnesium for leg cramps as well as potassium. When I added in my calcium/magnesium tablets my leg cramps went away.

Thanks both of you. Will try an avacado with my lunch and if that doesn't help, I will look for some supplements.

        Thank you

you can easily add potassium if you mix lite salt with regular salt as the lite stuff is Potassium just don't get too much by using it straight if you are a saltaholic.

Thanks for your replies. The cramps seem to have gone away, although I will only know for sure when I go back to work on Monday and I'm on my feet all day!
