  • Tragedy and Starting Over

I had done great But need to start induction again.

I went through 2 weeks of Induction, and then through Boot Camp on strict Induction and lost 27 lbs and 20 inches in a month.

However, my little brother passed away last Thursday and I lost it... in the process of dealing with his death I ate a lot of food that I shouldn't have. People sent food to the house so that we didn't have to cook during this last week. I ate spagetti, doughnuts and lots of stuff I should have stayed away from. The only good thing is that I haven't gained any weight as of yet but I feel the bloating coming on. I am starting Induction over tomorrow morning. I am glad that the scale hasn't went up but I am very dissappointed in myself for getting off track. My head was not in the right place and at the time I didn't care if I gained it all back but now reality is setting in and I know that he would want me to continue to do good for myself. :sadblinky

:hug Rockin! I know you can do it! You have my deepest sympathy.
I lost my mom right before the last BC, so I know how hard it is. I too did the same as you and then jumped back on, just be patient with yourself. It did seem harder for me to get back on track and stay clean after my slip.

<<<<<HUGS>>>> Rockin, you've done so well, and it's totally understandable that with all the sadness and stress you might slide into some unhealthy eating. I started gaining weight after my dad died, and it took me ten years to deal with the problem of emotional eating. You are getting right back on track now, and that's admirable! You're doing great, and we're here for you if you need support! :hug

So very sorry for your loss. Life really throws us some hard spanners at times. And how brave of you to get back on track after such a short time. I'm sure you're right... your little brother would have wanted you to do this.

                  Warmest hugs :hug

I am sorry to hear about your brother, rockin'. I am sure you will be able to get back into it. After all the work you did in Boot Camp. Don't worry about it, I fell off after BC too and I think 90-95% of us have at some time.
You need time to yourself and this WOE does take up time in your head. Planning, organising, cooking, etc.
Good luck and I am thinking about you. :hug

Very sorry to hear about your loss, Rockin. How you reacted to stress and the loss is completely understandable. Take care of yourself, and the weight and WOE will be there whenever you are ready.
