  • Hunger - Help!!!!

This is my third week on Induction and right after I eat breakfast I am still hungry. Is it maybe the water that I am drinking that maybe to much at one sitting?

For instance, I had a Mock danish this morning for breakfast that consisted of the following:

    2 large raw egss
    2 oz cream cheese
    a drop of vanill extract

I was still hungry after this type of breakfast, how can this be?

After 10 minutes or so the hunger pangs set in. I am consistantly drinking water in huge gulps. At the moment, I feel like I had no breakfast, it seems so strange to me.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks.

We can use Vanilla?? OMG, you just made a day. As far as hunger goes. I dunno. I ate 1 egg, 2 pieces of bacon, and 33.8 oz of water. I get so sick feeling, and full to where I don't want to eat the rest of the day. I think I am the weird one though. I know that was no help. I think everyone feels different, and our bodies handle it different...Maybe??

Its the natural vanilla. I checked for sugars and it doesn't state any.

Mary, if you are hungry then eat something!! But make sure it is 'legal' for induction of course

Maybe your body wants more food at breakfast now it is getting used to the WOE?

I dont know your stats (how much weight you have lost or want to lose) to be able to guess at how much food you need to fuel your body, but you might not be eating enough.

So why not prepare extra tomorrow and after you have eaten your mock danish wait a quarter of an hour or so, and if you are still hungry eat the other food as well.

Learning how much we need to eat is a hard thing to do and takes time and practice, but listen to your body. Some days you will find that a small meal or snack fills you up for hours and other days it will seem you need to eat several extra snacks to get the same feelings.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

I'd still be hungry after this kind of breakfast too. I would add some kind of meat to this. Have you always had just this for breakfast and just recently been feeling hungry?

I agree with the other posters, if you're hungry - eat something legal I eat a rather large breakfast, consisting of 3 eggs and meat. If I didn't eat the meat I know I'd still be hungry.

              Congratulations on your third week!

Yes eat as long as it's "legal" food. I've had basically the same breakfast since I've started Atkin's and find that this more than satisfies me. It consists os 2 slices bacon, 3 eggs,(made whatever way I'm in the mood for), 1 tablespoon butter, 1 ounce of shredded cheese,(whichever I'm in mood for). For my size this is a very small breakfast but it fills me up and keeps me full till my next meal. Hope this helps. But no matter what hang in there Mary and dont give in to temptations. Stay strong and focused and you shall overcome. Best of luck. Keep us posted on your progress. God Bless, Joe
