  • Still on a Psuedo Induction...and it is working!

I have been on an induction like diet for the entire time I have been on 'the approach'. So far, I have lost 19 lbs, and I feel like I am doing this the right way for me. I have averaged roughly 2 lbs. a week. I think this will help me to keep the weight off, and it feels great!!!

I can see and feel the changes. I got a box down from the top of the closet, that had not been touched for two years, to get some shorts that fit now. Some of them had been purchased as much as 8 years ago and had not been worn as I could not fit into them. That kind of feedback is more amazing than the occasional...'hey, have you lost weight?' comments.

I have been a bit more lax during this phase of MY approach as far as carb intake is concerned, but I would say that I have kept my max intake a day to 30.

If it helps some of you, I was going to share some of my helpful finds that help me with my 'cravings'. For the loss of chips, I have found pork rinds to be awesome. For the loss of sweets, I have found that the sugar free Jello and the Breyer's Carb Smart Ice cream bars (5g net) to be awesome. As for drinks, I keep a lot of Lipton Tea On The Go around the house and work. I also like to make Kool-Aid with Splenda to break up the routine of just water and tea!!

Great for you! I, like you, find little things that work for me to satisfy the "sweet tooth" and the "salty tooth".

Good luck and keep it up!

Thanks for posting your progress and tips

I see you have started to introduce non-induction foods (as far as I know the breyers are not 'legal' for induction but can be introduced when you reach the dairy rung of OWL) so wonder whether you have reached the mindset to 'officially' start to climb the OWL ladder now.

This will accustom your body to the different foods and allow you to discover your CCLL and equip yourself for maintaining your goal once you reach it.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
