  • How Do you Count Net Carbs?

    Hi Everyone.
I was originally told that to find your net carbs you subtracted protein and fiber from the carbohydrates.
From what I am reading on the forums here is that its only fiber.
Can someone please explain in detail how to count the net carbs?
    Thank You,
    Lisa

Well, it is just how you read it. You subtract the grams of fiber from your grams of carbs. There you have it.... NET carbs It confused me at first too

Re: How Do you Count Net Carbs?

            Here's an example:

One cup of raw celery has 4 grams of carbohydrate and 2 grams of fiber. Subtract the fiber from the carbohydrate and you have net carbs. One cup of raw celery has 2 net carbs.

This may not be the exact carb and fiber counts (it's close)...I'm just showing you an example.
