    Last straw

My last straw was realizing I had done SO many things to make my dreams come true. Since I was a little girl I wanted to show horses. I had purchased the huge gas hog to haul a horse trailer with, I own a great horse, and just ordered a brand new horse trailer. But......at the weight I WAS at (I am so proud to be able to say that) there was no way I was getting out in the middle of an arena in front of people. I realized it was time I really make my dream come true. And, so far I am well on my way. Three weeks into Atkins, 23 pounds down, and more to go. But, I am excited about the process!!!!

i have 3 daughters for whom to be a role model. i strain to tie my shoes, i won't let ppl take my picture. i avoid mirrors and if i'm caught off guard in a store front i don't recognize myself. i can't shop in the stores i want to...enough is enough! when my youngest daughter says'big' or 'fat' or any word like that, she looks over at me and says "sorry"...

(and there can be a cleanliness issue so yay for you for saying it out loud.)

      enough is enough....
If i can help anyone in any way, let me know.
      Keep up the good work!

I've always been overweight and have always hated it. But really did nothing about it. OK, I'd do various diets for a couple weeks, but they'd make me crazy, so I'd stop. (Wow curveegrrl, what an original story!)

Anyhoo, I have a friend who was doing amazing things with Atikins. She basically transformed herself in a year. She never tried to push Atkins onto me (which is good, 'cause that would have backfired in a major way) but just sort of showedhow much she enjoyed it.

And since I was moving to a new country anyway (or rather back to a country I'd been in before), I thought, what better time than NOW?? Make the transition. Change myself. That's why I started travelling -- to change myself. So why not actually make some clear physical changes.

Yeah. so it's going pretty well too.
