  • No Choice But To Stay on Induction

I just finished day 14 of Induction on Saturday and lost 9 lbs. I weighed myself this morning just to see where I'm at and I've gained back 2 lbs. in 2 days!
I have no choice but to stay on Induction for awhile. Has anyone else experienced quick weight gain after getting off Induction?

It's not that you have to stay on induction. Your weight fluctuates by pounds daily. A lot of factors come into play...TOM, sodium intake, carb level, etc...

I can tell you from experience, I'm on OWL and on Rung 3 and I'm losing weight just as effectively as I was on induction. Induction isn't the only weight loss phase. If I had to stay on induction, I probably still wouldn't be here. You only have 11 pounds left to go until your goal weight. I highly suggest moving to OWL. Dr. Atkins recommends staying at OWL until you have 5-10 pounds left to lose (you're almost to pre-maintenence!). In order for you to learn your CCLL, you need to move there now or else you won't know your carb limit.

Thanks for the input. What you said makes sense. It just discourages me seeing a 2 lb. weight gain in 2 days! I'll bet a lot of that was water weight from sodium.
      Thanks again!

When you 'go off' induction, you are to 'go on' OWL by adding an extra 5 carbs of veggies. How did you get off induction? What did you eat over those two days? We frequently see bounces in weight and a 2-pound gain is not unusual. Your body does strange things when it is trying to maintain the status quo. Since you only have 12 pounds to go, you really need to be going up the carb ladder so you can find your CCLL. Staying on induction will not help.
People who say it can't be done, should not interrupt those doing it.
