  • Missed my gym time, gained a half pound!

I think the lack of exercise last night had a huge difference this morning. I had to take my son to a kindergarten pajama party instead since he won't get to see me for the weekend as i'm going out of town to play drums. When I went to bed last night my legs were sore, I can only presume this is because I forgot my vitamin yesterday or because they just needed the workout. And - to top it off, I fell asleep without finishing my last 16 oz water bottle of the day. So I guess there wasn't enough fluid in me to flush out the metabolised fat this morning. Grrrr. I'm going to have fun trying to exercise while out of town for the next 3 nights.

DS is also really missing me while I'm at the gym. I pretty much am out of the house by 5:30 am and work all day till 3pm wait for my DH to be off work by 5pm, drop me at the gym...then DH picks the boy up and then they pick me up at 7pm after my gym class. Davin's bedtime is normally about 8pm so he only gets to see me for about an hour a day right now :-( in march my schedule changes so he'll get to see me more often.

    You are fantastic

Sounds like you are suffering a little mom guilt. I raised 4 little ones and I can totally relate to your frustration. But the best thing you can do for the people you love in your life is to put your health on the front line.

If your one hour with him is quality time, and you are happy with yourself and happy to see him, he is getting more from you than alot of kids get from their parents.

You have a tight schedule and a busy life. And you are doing so well with it. Praise yourself for all your hard work and forget the nit-picky stuff.

Shadewolf, We can't get everything perfect everday, but it is great that you are so focused on what you need to do to make your journey to a healthier/slimmer you!!!

Today is a new day, go make it happen. WOO HOO!!!

Your 1/2 pound gain is probably water weight. The scale will show that your weight flucuates , up and down. Be sure a keep track of your progress by measuring yourself. It is more accurate than the scales.

      Happy Low carbing!

I'm glad you are focused, but I think you are being a bit hard on yourself.
For goodness sakes, you're counting pounds by fractions!! Weight fluctuates throughout the day. I doubt you gained a pound of fat by missing one workout.

Your making the battle harder than it has to be...get too strict with yourself and you give yourself no room for error...which will make you feel bad and make it seem more like a struggle than it should be.

        Take a bubble bath, now!
