  • I cheated and sufered

Oh, I was doing so well until yesterday.....I had 3 big cookies. I don't know why I did it. I wasn't hungry, sad, mad, upset....I just did it. About an hour after I ate them, I was Soooo sick. I felt like someone had kicked me in my stomach and I had to take Pepto and 2 acid reducer pills just to make it through the night. I never get tummy aches, but that was a whopper of one.

Then, I woke up and found out I gained a pound. I hope that figure doesn't go up anymore through the day. :anger

Well, I'm back on track today. I guess it'll take a few days for me to get back into Ketosis....but, I'll just hang in there and no more cookies for me, thank you.

Always take the "every cloud has a silver lining approach". The good news to come from this is that it will make you think twice before you cheat again.

Just increase your water intake over the next couple of days and you should be fine. Sometimes its good to learn things the hard way, as it makes people stronger in the future.

    I hope this helps.

It never ceases to amaze me of how easy and how effective this ***diet*** is!!

I have since re-gained a bit of weight, but that is soon to be coming off again!

You made a mistake. Now, reflect on why you did it, and make the changes you need to make so it doesn't happen again. Just dust yourself off and go for a no-cheat day, and then repeat everyday. You'll be o.k. We are cheering for ya!

Don't beat yourself up over it, figure out what happens that makes you cheat. Myself, I can be oh so good for like 18 days then whammo 2 days before TOM, I am being oh so bad! I start out with great intentions, making a big mess of chocolate blobs, then screwing up and eating the whole batch at once. After that I just seem to go downhill for 2 days. I try to fight it and something in me just caves. I feel so awful, but then I have no problems just getting right back into the low carb saddle. I have no problems with sugar and badness cravings any other time. I am seriously thinking of trying that supplement that helps with cravings. It just irks me that I am so on track 98% of the time. I find that I am constantly reevaluating myself on this woe, but make no mistake about it, we are human, humans make mistakes. Each time we do, try a little harder next time to stay strong. I am upset with myself for a 2 day cheat, but I am stronger now and proud of myself as this 2 day cheat used to last a week for me. I can do this! So can you!

stl-- you learned a lesson that only cost you three cookies. You are one of the lucky ducks! Good for you for getting right back on track!
