  • Topic not for the squimish...it's about the, umm....bathroom

Ok, not to be grossing anyone out, but I have a question. I have not, umm, poo-ed in 4 days. I do not feel a bit constipated. I drink 120-150 ounces of water a day. I even take Metamucil every other day. What else I don't get is I have lost a couple of pounds since Wed. anyways. When I finally do , umm, go....is that what the "Whoosh fairy" is all about

As long as you don't feel backed up, it should be ok. How long have you been on plan? It may be just your body getting used to this woe. Maybe try ground flax as a helper if it carrys on much longer, 1T daily

As for the whoosh fairy, I think that happens when your fat cells replace fat with water (no scale loss) and then all of a sudden release the water (scale loss), so I hope it happens to you soon.

I understand that feeling. Like Loona said, it may be your body just getting used to the new diet. There is a lot less bulk you are eating that needs to be dealt with by the digestive system, so you may need to "go" less than you did before. Exercise can help the system move stuff along, but unless you are feeling bloated I wouldn't be ultra-concerned. To be technical, the whoosh is supposed to be the release of water not other stuff by the body, but both can be weight loss enducing events (wlee for short).
