    of course.. its like when you bake with sugar.. it stays. the carbs from beer gains it and depending on the amount of lemon juice you might be out with that. just be careful of how you prepare your meat and drink a lot of water.

      If he could use low carb beer it would be better. I bet it wouldn't taste any different. I love carne asada, and would love his recipe if he could share.

          most of the carbs stay in the marinate liquid. As long as he doesn't baste it with the marinate while he is cooking to evaporate the liquid. The alcohol and the acid in the lemon starts to breack down the proteins and collegens and tenderizes the meat.
