First is are we allowed to have blackstrap mollases? I wanted to make jicama apples which are marked induction safe, but it calls for this and I didnt think we could have mollases?
Second is, I wanted to get some milled flaxseed to help with bathroom issues....so umm, I have never used this so what do I do with it..I mean is there a recipe or add it to stuff? I just dont know!
    Thanks in advance!

Molasses is a sugar, so no you cannot add it. Flax meal can be added to things, Sprinkle it into broth, over salads or other dishes, you can make the one minute muffin recipe, Add it into ground beef burgers, lots of ways to sneak it in.

any time. Linda's site may not be using the same version of the book. In earlier editions the focus was more on carb count so it may have been ok in small amounts, but the newer editions categorize by the types of foods also (hence the rungs) so molasses is definitely out.

The Jicama Apples recipe is perfectly fine without the molasses. THe recipe calls for such a small amount of it anyway. You won't miss it. They're good by the way, they taste like dried apples to me. I made it with molasses the first time before I realized I wasn't supposed to and you couldn't even taste the molasses. No need to add it.

i buy whole flaxseed and grind it myself / course grind. if you go too fine then it gets sticky from the flax oil... you can sprinkle it on anything, it really doesnt have a taste but it adda some crunch ..
