did anyone kind of stall out after the first month? i'm getting really frustrated cause the scale is not moving at all! and i've been good about not weighing myself like a crazy woman, but i was losing at least a pound or two every week and now i feel like it has halted! this is too soon! only 5 weeks into this! :anger

That is very natural. I bet you are still losing inches though aren't you? Officially you are only in a stall if you haven't lost any weight or inches for 4 weeks running.

I hope this helps. It is natural honestly.

It never ceases to amaze me of how easy and how effective this ***diet*** is!!

I have since re-gained a bit of weight, but that is soon to be coming off again!

I've only lost 9 pounds in the last 6 weeks, but I've lost 14.5" all over! So make sure you keep track of other indicators that may show you what the scale neglects to at the moment...

Richt & Cleochatra are so right. It is normal to hit a time period where you don't lose weight. I was about 6 weeks into the program and I didn't lose weight for a month -- but I lost 8 inches in that month. That is the month that people really started to notice the changes in me. The tape measure really is your friend!

okay i really need to get one of those flexible tape measures. my pants are getting loser, yes, but i think the tape measure will be a bit more accurate! ensive i guess i'm still trying to accept the fact that you can lose inches without dropping lots of pounds. but i believe you guys!! definitely makes me feel better!

Just to add my own experience; I lost 4-1/2# my first week on induction, didn't lose another bit for 7 weeks. Didn't lose any inches during those 2 months either.

I have hypertension and during those first 2 months my blood pressure stablized and then it started dropping and dropping, which was really great. My Dr kept having to half my medication.

BTW, my usually supportive sister urged me to go off Atkins since it wasn't helping me to lose weight rapidly. But you can see from my photos that I did lose weight and inches.

                I feel you pain. :sadblinky

I stalled for weeks and weeks.

I read and re-read the book, I tried this and that. Finally I bumped up my exercise and cut out almost all the dairy products and I started losing again.

I know its frustrating..God I know. But don't stop and give in. Stay focused and remain low carb, it will start again.
