Aroma of peach tea = appetite enhancer?

My DH heard somewhere that the scent of peaches is a natural appetite enhancer. Does this hold any water? I have some peach tea I like to drink, but I haven't paid attention to if it increases my appetite. i just use it to flavor my water.....

I'm not too sure about peaches specifically, but there are some aromas that increase appetite. I think the explanation is that these aromas trigger specific areas in the brain--which is why some perfumes or colognes make can "romantically excite" certain people and why some aromas, like lavender, has a relaxing effect. Some aromas can trigger pleasant memories (or bad ones).
