    Hi!
I just started atkins. This is my 3rd day and I have lost 2 pounds. I'm only looking to lose about 6 or 7 more pounds. Is this diet going to work for me? Like I said, I don't have tons of weight to lose. I'm a little nervous. I'm really enjoying eating chicken wings without the guilt! But I'm worried I might get too used to all the oil and fat and wind up gaining agian.[/u]

HI, well since you only have a few lbs to lose it may take a while to lose them, but it will work
you said u were worried about getting used to eating oils and fats- well that wont nessisarly be a bad hting- i mean- if it works to take the weight off it will work
to maintain it right- good luck and you will get to you goal in no time

Yes if you think of this way of eating (WOE) as just a weightloss plan and once you have reached goal you add back all the refined and processed foods you used to eat as well as the fats you are eating now then you will gain weight again. :no
Also if you stop doing the exercise you are doing too that will help you pile on the pounds again if you dont watch what you eat..
But if you use the stages of Atkins to learn how your body reacts to certain foods and discover what you can eat and still maintain a steady goal weight then you should be able to stay at goal for life and still eat the tasty foods this WOE allows.
So after your 14 days induction you need to move to OWL and start adding back the food groups while losing the last few pounds.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
