Does anyone experience the smells of certain foods they used to love making them nauseated? The last 2 weeks, EVERY time I smell bread I feel instantly sick! My son rides with me to work alot and takes a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, as soon as he opens it, Im done for. Today I went into a gas station that had a subway, I had to hurry, pay, and rush out....the smell of the bread made me so sick! Is this normal? lol

Re: Smells making you nauseated?
I can actually say I am not pregnant. I had a tubaligation after or 3rd child. Now, if by some great chance I was, I would be excited beyond belief, but I dont see that that is the culprit here...hehe~Clara~

Re: Smells making you nauseated?
Well, LOL, I was nauseated this morning when I was walking but it was due to dead mussels washing up on the beach here. Nothing like the smell of rotting seafood on a ninety degree day. YUCK!

Yeast is a strong smell for me at times but i never attributed it to Atkins. Maybe the fact that we don't smell bread regularly makes the odor more pungent now. Curiouser and curiouser.

You're not the only one. I can't go near a bakery or chocolate shop. I get such a sick feeling. Even when I bake at home, I have to make sure windows are open or I'm in another room for most of the time. I have no desire to eat any of it!45 ~ F

Re: Smells making you nauseated?
Good, so I am not just some weirdo who cant stand the smell of breads! lol I kinda figured it was becasue of cleaning my body of the bad stuff and not having it that it smells so bad to me. I actually think most of the time its a good thing because it makes me not even want bread!~Clara~

Re: Smells making you nauseated?
I WISH I had that problem! I walked past the Publix bakery this morning while doing my morning exercise, and I nearly fainted, the bread smelled so good! My mouth started watering and everything...A Doctor told me once that I should go on a walk anytime I felt hungry, since you can't eat and walk at the same time. If my commitment to Atkins hadn't been so strong, I would have proved that Doc wrong this morning by carrying my cd player in one hand, and a loaf of bread in the other...
Just a fantasy...
