  • What food is high in FIBER

Ok...i need to know what I need to be eating more of to make my self go "ya know". Please help. ....

Still havent gone and i've now resorted to taking some Magnesium Citrate (stuff they give to people for colonoscopy).

I going to go and buy some flax tomorrow hopefully i will find something. But i really need to get some extra extra fiber into my diet so any examples will be helpful.

I also bought some Fibercaps also? Are these ok?

For the last year I've eaten the vast majority of my veges raw to get extra fiber. One that always *ripped my insides out* has been saurakraut. If that doesn't get things moving I don't know what will.

Then a month ago I added psyllium husks to my diet, sugar-free, 1 TBL/day and things are so smooth and wonderful now. Wish I had added them a year ago when I started Atkins.

I find psyllium husks are the best. and they're pretty easy to add to your diet ( I buy the unflavoured natural one, sugar free metimucil is also made with psyllium but more $$). I add it to my mock danish in the a.m.

1T of flax daily, if that don't work, increase it a T til it does. Ugh on the magnesium, that stuff is nasty lol. Can still remember taking it for a colonoscopy and spending an entire night in the bathroom!

            Your veges should help too.

I take psyllium husk capsules and make sure you drink water throughout the day so it doesn't wind up like cement in your colon.

We resort to the same veggies as one of the poster mentioned ... we eat a breadless reuben about once a week ... the sauerkraut seems to work. Also, stir fried cabbage and other stir fried veggies are good and high in fiber.
