Re: Question.. about alcohol and extended induction.
Hi there,
A lot of straight liquors have almost 0 carbs per shot. I even made myself a handy little table to keep on hand. :0)
Carbs. In Alcohol
12 fl oz. beer, regular: 13.2
12 fl oz. beer, lite: 4.6
1 fl oz. clear gin: 0 carbs
1 fl oz. clear rum: 0 carbs
1 fl. oz clear vodka: 0 carbs
1 fl. oz tequila: 0 carbs
*Note on drinking any alcohol while on a low carb. diet: the body follows an "order of
priority" when it comes to fuel-burning: alcohol (easiest to burn), followed by protein,
carbohydrates, then fat. Drinking alcohol will not prevent weight loss, only postpone it. This is why it might be best during weight loss to go easy on the alcohol.
Hope this helped!!"I get knocked down, but I get up again, you're never gonna keep me down!" :)

Re: Question.. about alcohol and extended induction.
Another thing to keep an eye out for if you do drink alcohol on induction is that your willpower (or as I often think of it - your 'won't-power') might get fuzzy and agree that some doritos or other carby snacks would be a good idea
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
