  • Psyllium Question

I thought the Atkins book said to use Psyllium powder for constipation. Everywhere I look, people are saying they get it at Whole Foods etc (which we don't have here in my town).

I bought Konsyl 100 percent Natural Psyllium Fiber Powder.
Does Atkins give his own take on the doseage per day of the powder, or do I just go by what's on the container?

Does it matter which Psyllium a person uses under the Atkins plan?

    Re: Psyllium Question

You can get the psyllium in caps at Safew**. I use the sugar free generic Metamucil and it seems to work for me. Someone else here have any suggestions?

      Re: Psyllium Question

As long as it has no sugar or other 'illegal' additives it should be fine.

I would stick to the amount suggested by Dr Atkins. Make sure you increase your water intake too!
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
