    hey everybody :wave

    i know i shouldnt have but i weighed myself this morning and i seemed to be like 2lbs heavier than when i weighed myself monday ... i know i shouldnt weigh myself untill actual weigh in day but i couldnt resist.

    any ideas why for some reason my scales are telling me in heavier?

    i havent changed nothing in my diet to what i have been doing to lose 7lbs in the 1st two weeks so i dont know what is going on ..

    any help would be great! :icondance

    Are you exercising? This can increase your muscle and as muscle weighs more it can show as an increase on the scale. Tip: don't weigh yourself too often.

    Your period could be due and this may add some pounds.

    All in all I would be happy with the success you've had so far, measure yourself too so that you can see inch loss aswell as weight loss.

      post a menu or two so we can make sure there aren't any trouble areas. I read in an earlier post you ate fruit...since that is an induction no-no it could affect your weight...any other forbidden foods you been eating?

        no i dont do much exercise and if i do its walking for about 50minutes home from work on an evening so it cant be muscle & my period isnt due so its not that bue heres a typical daily menu of myne:

        Morning - Babybell, pepperoni stick,

        Lunch - sliced meat, pepperoni stick, cheese string,

        tea - 4egged omlette with cheese or some plain cod

        other - sometimes i will have a packet of peanuts too and i will sometimes nibble on cheeses throughout the day (i sound like a mouse! lol)

        well anyways, hopefully you can help me! lol

        i will weigh myself on monday morning, my actual weighing day and we'll see what happens then .. :yikes

          well there are several problems in your menu...

          sliced meat- alot of them have sugar...you need to make sure there is no added sugar

          pepperoni sticks- same thing...many have added sugars

          peanuts- not allowed on Induction

          cheese-are you eating no more than 3-4 oz?

          baby bellpepper- this is ok but are you eating 3 cups of veggies a day?

          exercise-essential to this WOE...try to do it at least 3x a week

          water- are you drinking?

            yes i forgot to say that i only drink water and i drink atleast 2 litres of water a day which is the reccomended - sometimes i even drink more.

            this way of eating has worked for me for the 1st two weeks so i was really shicked when this morning i read the scales as two pound heavier :yikes

              I would say the same thing - stay away from Pepperami if that's what you're having - full of sugar. Sadly we're not blessed in the UK with sugar free deli meats - I've looked :no

              I assume you're from the UK, if not, forgive me

              And everything else Hula said

              Edit: tea has caffiene - a no, no.

              Cheese strings I believe are processed cheese and shouldn't be eaten.

                here's the thing...week 3 is where alot of people stop losing...you are into week 3 right? the stop in weight loss plus all the things you are not supposed to be eating during induction probably led to the bump in weight.

                  Yup good point, I didn't lose for five weeks after week 2 - not to put you off but it does happen. Keep going and you will continue to lose like I, and many others have

                    Also it appears that you aren't getting enough fat... butter, mayo, olive oil... etc. You are definitely not getting enough vegetables (3 cups a day). Also, you might be overdoing your cheese if you are eating it through out the day.

                      hmm ok im going to go shopping tomo and stock up on real cheeses and non processed meat oh and lots of mayo! (ill try and find a sugar free one!) its just quite dis-heartning when you see you've put on weight :bang

                        It will come off I know it's disheartening but the female body is funny and we are cursed with forever scale fluctualtions I can go up and down 5 pounds overnight up 2 down 1 it's never ending. I think once you have started eating more clean the weight will follow. Be sure to measure though it's more important then what the scale says you can lose no weight for weeks like I did 7 weeks no weight loss and lose 20 inches so BE sure to MEASURE!!!!!

                          Get some veggies too!!!! This isn't a meat/cheese diet.

                          You might want to avoid the cheeses too. They can be stallers. I treat them as a "cheat", even the legal types.

                          And get some good meat, like steak, chicken or fish, for some more protein.
