  • A plug for a multivitamin-

Yeah, I read the book, but I couldn't get back in the routine of taking my multivitamin when I restarted Atkins.

I lost about 10-11 pounds over about 6 weeks, then kinda stalled.

I went out and bought a new multivitamin, and have been taking it religiously.

With no change in any other factors (water intake, exercise, diet), I have lost another 4 pounds in the last 2 weeks.

The Good Doctor explains why this is in the book. No matter how balanced and mineral rich you might *think* your daily intake might be, my money is on the fact that it doesn't contain amino acids like L-Carnatine among other necessary nutrients.

For what it's worth....A quality multivitamin can make all the difference.

Very true and it's important to read the back of your multivitamin to see what you are getting.

For instance, as a woman I need 1000 mg of calcium a day. I figured I was getting enough, but after reveiwing my diet and then checking my multivitamin (which only had 100 mg of calcium) I realized I wasn't getting enough and bought calcium supplements.

L-Carnitine was a big help when I stalled one time.

Can someone advise of perhaps what brand of MV might include
        L-Carnitine? Thanks!

I only take Centrum Carb Assist right now and I have a feeling it's not cutting it... I hate taking pills... so I only want to take one a day, not a bunch from different bottles ... any suggestions as to how I can get everything I need in one shot (one pill)?

Well, I can tell you that GNC Mega Man does include it, but I would venture a guess that you are not going to buy that one. I checked on the GNC Ultra Women's one-a-day, and it does not contain the amino acid blend; instead, it contains some kind of fruit extract blend.

Maybe some of the well versed women here can help you out!
