  • Frustrated...it's allowed, right??

Hi there! Hubby and I have been doing Extended Induction since 8/15 but I'm just now posting here because I've been crabby and well, I found out that I have that Yeast problem by spitting in the glass first thing in the morning so I spent forever online looking for Oil of Oregano, Raw Unfiltered Organic Vinegar etc (which should be here by tomorrow) AND I got a migraine that I've had for three days. *sigh* I was doing great on the weight loss...I was down 6 lbs and then I'd go up a lb, back down, up two, you see where I'm going. Same thing with my hubby but overall, he's down about 13. I'm happy for him...truly am!

It's been raining for DAYS now (on his vacation too!) so my 25 laps in the pool haven't been possible for about 3 days but with a migraine, that has been pretty much out of the question.

I'm doing my food logs EVERY day...and the only stalls I can identify other than the yeast are POSSIBLY getting a little TOO much of the one cup veggies...(which I would have added if I went to OWL, right?) and some days not getting enough of the 2 cup veggies. OCCASIONALLY eating sugar free jello...is that going to kill me?

I drink ONE...ONE cup of coffee a day. One splenda unless I make a mock danish.

Disclaimer: It is that time of the month so if this sounds like a bunch of woe is me crapola, it may be just that, but I am seriously looking for a pick-me-up too....so if you can...please do!

I was back up to 154.4 this morning...is it all going to whoosh away when TOM is gone??

My measurement changes from beginning of Induction on 8/1 til 8/17:

Left Thigh: 1" lost Right Thigh 1.5" lost Ribcage 2.5" lost Waist 1.5" lost Right and Left Upper Arm: 1.25" lost Widest part of Abdomen: 3" lost Hips: 1.5 " lost

    Total inches lost: 13.5

So we'll do the getting rid of the yeast regimen...although I don't know if I can get RID of the dairy. I can limit the aged cheeses (the ones most likely to be mold problematic)...but cutting it all out is setting myself up for failure...I know it. I will leave myself with nothing to eat. Most foods, for me are made more palatable when added with a sprinkling of parmesan or a sprinkling of cheese. I don't eat TONS of it. And I just started making yummy quiches that even my hubby loves. Who says 'real men don't eat quiche"?

SO thank you, hello to all else doing Extended Induction!

If it is that time of the month for you then it is quite likely to be that causing your losses slowing or even reversing!

Some people have even posted that they gain weight for the 2 weeks before TOM (up to 10 pounds sometimes!!), stay level during TOM and only lose weight in the week after, which must be really difficult to cope with.

I hope your problems are not as bad as that, but even if they are, then what else can you do if you are determined to change your body but stick to the WOE and hang in there and hopefully ride it out!
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Oh thank you so much! SO MUCH! I really needed to hear that tonight! I'm sitting here after drinking icky unfiltered vinegar for the first time to combat the candida yeast stuff (and it's nasty!! lol) and dealing with a lb or two gain from TOM still so it's good to read this lovely bit of encouragement.

I'm staying on track and even didn't flinch when we ate out tonight and my daughter ate a small chocolate mousse in front of me so that was a small victory. I had steak and shrimp and it was delicious!

So I forge ahead because I am 250% committed to this. Again, I appreciate it and YOU!
