  • Atkin Products- Pre-packaged. Ur experience?

Okay, I have ran into a few people who say they are using the products and are still losing weight. I just dont see how having an atkins candy bar, breakfast bar or even milk shake can work out for them.

What has been anybody elses experience. I am definately not to eager to try these products until I am closer to my goal weight. Which is about 40 pounds away. Im down 30, since having my last baby (yahhhh!), 14 pounds since I restarted little over 30 days ago. These products aren't meant for induction stage are they?

I think they would be too tempting to me- making me want to cheat. lol

You are right - although the packet might say they are OK for induction, if you look at the list of ingredients in them you will see some items that are not OK for induction, like soy, wheat, milk or nuts etc, so they are better left till you reach the level/rung of OWL that includes all their ingredients.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

I agree----read the lables, read the book, and it's kind of like a matching game of "which rung does this fit best".

      Hope that helps!

I consume both the shakes and the bars, I still loose weight. I do weigh myself at least three times a day: When I get up, after my walk, and right before I go to bed. If I eat a certain product and find the scales in my favor, I keep eating it. If the scales are not in my favor I do not eat the new product I added that day again, while on extended induction.

The shakes seem to be good.

I tried the vanilla shakes. They were very good, kinda reminded me of slimfast. But they dont keep me satisfied very long and i crave sweets like crazy. My mom gave me one of the candy bars (the one that tastes like snickers) and i cut it up into 8 pieces for when i am really craving a real candy bar. Since its just bite sized pieces it doesnt really affect my weightloss and i dont really crave afterwards. That might be because it tastes so much like a real candy bar that i get cheaters guilt after one piece.

I agree with Elizellen ... The ingredients are a definite NO .. regardless of the package saying "induction" ...

I could see how they might be nice once you reach your goal as an alternative to regular candy, but i dont think they are good for weight loss myself..

Good luck and good job on the 30 lbs loss so far .. thats great !!

I have had one of the Strawberry shakes, it was yummy. I have bought one box of the bars, but have yet to try them. I am afraid I will eat them all in one sitting. I am planning on allowing myself one each weekend (after I lose at least 20 lbs). If they don't seem to have any adverse affects then I'll keep allowing one on the weekend as a treat without the cheat. I do hope they don't! They look so dang good!

                    Good luck!
