  • Week Three Done!

    Hi all!
After my first week on extended induction I am still losing steadily. I was worried about having a stall since I have read about a lot of people not losing weight for a couple of weeks after the inital induction. But, I am proud to say, I have stuck to Atkins for three weeks and have lost 21 pounds so far. Five more pounds from my inital induction loss of 16. I am very happy with this way of eating and can't wait for what the future holds!!!!!! Happy Day!!

      Re: Week Three Done!

That's awesome news and it's sure to be an inspiration to others. This truly is a fantastic WOE! Who would've thought that you could eat fat to lose fat? Dr. Atkins was a very smart man and we all owe him a great big "thank you"!

        Congreats on your additional loss.

I really hate some smartypants created and fancy inaccurate name for the period after induction and called it PISS post induction stall syndrone and folk jumped on it. it isn't really a stall as a stall is 4 weeks of no scale weight nor inches lost. It is more of a slight hesitatin in scale weight loss as multiple changes are going on in our bodies as we morph and lose fat mass but gain lean mass and our bodies try to compensate by pumping us up with fliuds to maintain those biochemical properties it needs with water is all that is going on. Once we exceed our individual tolerance for the bio chem interference the water is coming to cause our body will release it and we say whooshie visited as the scales suddenly move.

            Cleochatra,
Thanks for the response! You have truly been an inspriation to me! Your dramatic weight loss and dedication to Atkins has shown me that I can also do this! I weighed the same amount as you when I started and am the same age.....so it is nice to see someone who is in the same boat and the progress they have made! Thanks again!
