    Hello all

Im having a very very hard time finding powdered spices with no sugar or starches, Plus sugar in everything i have. I dont know now whether i did do a clean induction because all the spices i used and have, have sugar in them. Even my soy sauce has sugar i still have not found one without added sugar.

Do help should i use the spices??? should i use the soy sauce

Thanks for any answers and support given.

    No soy sauce.
What spices are you using? You can use salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, basil, etc.

try to find a good ethnic shop that sells whole spices, then buy one of thoses little coffee bean grinders or a small mortar and pestle and grind/crush your own spices. this way you get the exact flavor mix you like without any additives, and the flavours are stronger :nod

:wave good to see you again back on your Atkins. yep make your own mix that is what I do and just leave out the sugars.

You can check the international board and see what other folk who live where you do are doing too.

        Happy low carbing.

          Hello,
Thank you all for the replies. Ive already cut out the soy sauce still looking around for no-sugar soy sauce.
I now use fresh garlic and ginger onions and tomatoes to make my food.

Well they dont tend to sell single spices like garlic powder or onion powder you get already mixed spices that are for malaysian dishes like meat curry and chicken and my all time favourite or rather used to be favourite spice is called 5-spice chicken mix(Perencah ayam rempah lima)
and what do i end up finding out sugar is listed first on the ingredients list. That should have set out bells in my head.

Ok another question is cornstarch ok in spices or yeast extractor tapioca starch, maltodextrin, modified starch?

I guess when buying spices i need to be extra extra careful.

Thanks again for the info already given.
