    Hello,
O.k., so I think I know why i have not lost any weight since beginning the induction. I was eating like 6-9 string cheeses a day. (yikes!!!) haha I laugh now.... TO much cheese. SO can someone tell me if I am on the right track.

    Only unprocessed meats
3oz of cheese at the MOST
    SF jello?
heavy whipping cream for coffee creamer
lots of veggies but not over 20g
    no aspartamine (sp)
Is 4C o.k. during induction? and one drink counts as one carb correct?

I am excited and really motivated to keep going!!!!! I just want to start LOOSING darnit!

It was my fault though. I was also eating to much. I think the thing to remember is to not over eat. If your not hungry dont eat.

Am I allowed to have a few pork rinds?

Also, itailan marcopone (sp) mixed with a little splenda has been a great sweet tooth remedy. Is that bad?

    THanks

    Re: cheese

Good work on getting a handle of the cheese.
Sugar Free jello is not good if it is sweetened with Aspartame. (And usually it is)
You have to watch heavy whipping cream so you are not going over the allowed limit.
Lots of veggies is great - spreading them out over the day is super great.

The 4C you are talking about is that coffee?
Caffeine can be a staller for some. It surely raise bloodsugar in many people. (And we do NOT want that)
Try and shift to decaf - do it gradual if you have to. And don't drink so much coffee that you forget to drink water. You have to drink at least 64 water every day.

You can have pork rinds (but read the label - not all of them are zero carbs) But don't overdo it. Rinds have a lot of salt - so that is why we limit them. But an occasional snack is great.
Mascarpone is soft cheese - NOT allowed on induction

Make sure you eat at every meal and then have legal snacks. Use good fats at all meals and you will feel fuller and actually eat less (It is the secret of Atkins, I think)

        Re: cheese

That is the second time I have seen '4c' and I have no idea what it is!

However, I thought marscapone was a cream cheese, and would be okay?

          Re: cheese

4c is a drink similar to crystal light. only difference is that it is made with splenda.

marscapone is italian cream cheese? can i have this since it is a cream cheese?

Do you think I did not loose any weight because I was eating to much cheese, or that I was eating salami, and hot dogs?
I really hope that is the reason I was not loosing, bc this diet seems like one I could actually manage and be happy on.

            Re: cheese

all of the above. also too many sweeteners, not enough water, too much salt. you look like you've made a solid direction change, though. if i can do it, so can you! and you can!
