  • Need help!

    I been on atkins since march 2008 so far I've lost 52lbs i cheated sometimes but the thing is that I stop losing 3 weeks ago i don't know if it might be do because i stop going to the gym because of my schedule i'm on extended induction i have 20lbs more to lose i started induction again today and started going to the gym again i want to be at 140 before moving on to OWL any advice? i was thinking on changing diets and just doing weight watchers.

    When was the last time you have cheated? Sometimes that will throw off your body for a week or so. Are you drinking enough liquids. I found with my past experience so far that sometimes (least for me) that your body will actually fight to stay at a particular weight that its used to. If you stay true/ cheat free eventually your weight has no choice to come down.

      When you only have 20 pounds to lose, you should expect to lose them slowly. If you had to stop exercising, your metabolism may have adjusted down, and you lost the advantage exercise was giving you. What needs to happen so you can start exercising again, even if it is a different program, like videos if you can't get to the gym during their hours?

      Moving to OWL at a low weight, one that is close to your goal, is not the recommended way to do Atkins. I do compliment you however on what you have lost so far?

        WHY would you even consider stopping something that has worked so well for you... 52 lbs is amazing. The last 20 will go slow... I can practically guarantee... if you go to weight watchers you will gain.... get back at working out and behave yourself to success... I too started in March... I have a long way to go yet... I am sure you have read this... but I will say it again... and you need to read it until it sinks in... SLOW AND STEADY WINS THE RACE... you can have lost that last 2o by newyears if you behave and get into the gym... no excuses... Bravo on your success so far...

          Thank you girls for all your great advice! I will keep on the diet, I went to the gym on friday,saturday and sunday i guess that will be my new schedule since i don't have the time during the week! Thanks again!
