  • question for anyone *big chested*

So I have been graced by god with these large-no make that enormous breasts. And although I hear, "Oh I wish I had big boobs" all the time from my A cup friends, mine go beyond "big", to the point where its almost unproportional to my body (one size bigger than DD). Hard to buy clothes that fit right, bras are a disgrace...anyway those of you who have them already know, those who don't well, you get the picture. And even as back as I can remember when I was like 14, and very very thin, I STILL had huge boobs. Not as big as they are now, but still.

So the point to this whole post, is, my mom (who genetically graced me with my chest) tells me that if it's in your genes like me, no matter how much weight you lose, you will never lose your boob weight. other people I have asked have said I'll lose MAYBE a small amount in my boobs, but if you were born to have big girls, then you will have them no matter your weight. ANYONE BEG TO DIFFER PLEASE?!

Rather than spend $6,000+ on a breast reduction, I would love to look forward to the possibility of being able to buy a dress that is small enough to fit me on bottom, AND on top without suffocating me--through diet and exercise.

I'm not sure how much you have to lose and every body changes in its own way, but for me 5-10 lbs make the difference between a 38 DD and a 36 D. But unless a famine comes, I don't see how I'll ever be able to go below D.

Like you, I also have to thank my mum.

I was a C cup by 5th grade and spent most of my life as a rail thin DD (FF during nursing -eek).

They don't go away. They get a little smaller (if you call DD to D smaller) but then, dear ol' gravity takes effect and you end up going for lift surgery anyway (counting the minutes until I can schedule mine!!).

Not the news you were hoping for. Optimistically, everyone's body is different and you might get lucky. Wait until you are at goal and then evaluate.

Mine are not as big as yours... but I've found they diminish in porportion to the rest of your frame.

You will probably lose a few sizes in your bra... depending on how much weight you have to lose.

I think you will be ok .. just like your boobs got bigger when you gained weight ... they will probably go back down when you lose.

Mine are shrinking slowly but surely. The shrinkage could go faster as far as I'm concerned. Being big busted sucks!!!

ummm.. I went from being a DD to a large C with losing weight and exercising. When I lost a lot of weight without the exercise, I never was below a D though.. My mom has like, Gs or GG - something strange where she has to special order bras. She's not huge, but she doesn't lose weight in her chest until she gets pretty thin.. then again, she also breastfed for close to 3 years with us kids.

I was always the same cup size regardless of my weight, and I opted to do a breast reduction. It's definitely worth every penny! I'm not going to tell you to go and get one but if your breasts are causing you other health problems like mine were to me, then don't scratch it out.

                Aren't genes wonderful.

I think they get bigger when you gain however some of us are just big chested no matter what!!

I was 36K at my heaviest, now I am a 30GG-- not small by any count! For me I have always had a big bust, never been a problem to me. But they are a lot more comfortable in the F-GG range than over that, then you start running into problems when its hot etc.

Certainly worth seeing if they go down any before shelling out for a reduction!!

Re: question for anyone *big chested*

It's proportionate, though I'm going to start doing chest flys in an attempt to reverse some of the whole gravitational issue with this weight loss, but I've gone up and down in weight alot and they shrink/grow in proportion to my body (and by up/down, I mean in 80 to 120 incriments up and down several times).

If you decide when you've reached your goal that they're still too big for what you think looks good, well then you can always consider a reduction but you may feel they're great as you go down in weight because they will feel smaller to you and it's your opinion of your body that counts.

I have been everything from an F-C. When I am overweight they are even bigger, but I am always on the large side. But I find that when my weight is optimal they fit me well. I have found that if you keep your weight down they will look smaller as you age (good old sag)

Also, I don't know how old you are. But if you haven't had children and you desire to nurse your babies i would hold off. Reduction surgery can impact the milk production system within the breast tissue and create further challenges.

I hear you--always hated these guys. More now that I am heavier....

                        130 wedding weight--nice "C" (larger C)

                        Now 150 ish (up 20 lbs)---DD

ONE MAJOR motivator is if I lose weight--my chest will shrink! That is second on my list!! (butt is #1)

GOOD LUCK! I toy with a reduction also...I was up to a "G" when pregnant and nursing...scary.

I am huge too...38DD..I sure hope (and i am almost positive they will) go down in size..I think most people shrink as they lose.
