  • Stuck in OWL...

Having finished the Induction part and having lost about 6 kgs (12 pounds), I have lost my motivation for losing more. OK, I have been going through some tough times, work-wise and relationsip-wise , but still I managed to eat cleverly and keep my weight, without regaining it. Still I am stuck here...

Any tips to rejuvenate my interest?

Have you kept any kind of journal? Or taken measurements, or pics? I think that is essential for keeping motivated. Put the worst picture you have of yourself on the fridge as a reminder why you started this in the first place.

If you feel like you need to, get back on induction to boost things up again.

That's great that you have maintained your weight...but if you wanna lose you gotta get back on the wagon!

I have been in your shoes, and eventually the weight is gonna come back if you don't do something about it...don't let that happen!!

Got it. Some good tips there. The "photo on the fridge" thing should work.

I guess I'll go back to Induction. It was the only time I was really excited with Atkins...

      Thanks D3Anna!

I would look for a new recipe.
        Buy a new outfit.
Go visit someone that hasn't seen the "lighter" you since you started Atkins, so you can hear the compliments. THAT keeps me motivated!

Thanks Donna. I get compliments all the time from people that haven't seen me for a while...But people who see me everyday ask me whay I have given up...

BTW, I do yoga every Wednesday too. It's very relaxing.

I hope you can tell them you haven't given up that you have only hit a little bump in the road!

I'm sure starting induction again is a good idea. Start all fresh and ready to kick butt!

Compliments are great. I actually had a guy checking me out in the grocery parking lot today! Woo Hoo!

Nah, I'm married. But it was nice to be looked at again.
