  • Not losing either

So, I will be 4 weeks tomorrow (monday) on extended induction. 2 week induction with another 2 weeks extended induction.

I lost 7 lbs the first 14 days on the diet. Decided to stay on the extended induction for another 14 days and I have not lost an ounce.

I know it looks like I don't have much to lose so it will not come off as fast. But in actuality I could weight about 140-145 but I prefer to be about 164.

    I can't seem to get under 180.

    I do not cheat.
I eat 3 eggs cooked in butter with 3 ounces of cheese for breakfast
lunch is 2 hamburger patties, topped with mayo, mustard 1-2 ounce cheese and about 5 hamburger pickles. some shredded lettuce.
Dinner is 2 chicken breast- cut in strips dipped in one egg and coated with pork rinds fried in canola oil. dipped in mayo and mustard.
1 cup of brocolli, lightly coated with butter and lil salt.
    water through out the day.

I have 16 lbs to lose but could lose up to 40 for my height.
    What am I doing wrong.

    Am I not eating enough?

    It's really frustrating me.

    Re: Not losing either

Hi there! I understand your frustration, but don't give up! The less you have to lose, the slower it goes, and you only have 16 lbs. to your original goal. Did you take your measurements when you began? You can be losing inches instead of pounds. Maybe the cheese is slowing you down ... dairy stalls some folks. And it looks like you could use some more leafy greens ... say, a nice romaine salad in addition to the broccoli. Anyhoo, that's my two cents worth and what I would try

Are you getting enough water and exercise. As they say 8 glasses of water a day! And even adding 20 minutes a day of walking can jump start things for you.

It will come. Just work with it.
I thought your menu looked good. You seem to be getting enough protein and fat and you have a good breakfast.
You may be over doing the cheese so watch it.
And you are not quite eating the veggies right. You are supposed to get two cups of the salad veggies in but you are not. I cup of broccoli as "other veggie" is good but don't forget your salad veggies.

            Re: Not losing either

Each day of my eating is different.

I usually eat the eggs in the morning.
But for lunch or sometimes dinner I have 3 JR. bacon cheeseburgers from Wendy's, of course no bun and I don't eat tomatoes. so it's 3 small patties, mayo, lettuce and bacon. Plus I will have one or 2 Ceasar salads. Dressing is low in carbs.

The greens I like are lettuce, romaine, broccoli, spinach, green beans, I believe that is it, I am not big on Veggies.

I don't eat dark meat, I prefer white. Would I be better off eating the dark meat?

Fortunalty my scale took a dump, well the battery is low since I weigh myself so often. I think that is a good thing. Too much weighing in with either the same number or a lb or 2 higher is not good.

I do admit I need to start drinking alittle more water. I was only drinking water and then I backed off some. I still drink it but not sure I am getting as much as I should these days.
Exersise?!? What is that....lol. I don't physically do any. I have 4 kids I chase around but actually doing a sit up, push up, or even walking just becasue, I haven't done.

So I can definitely see where the prroblem is. Not enough water and no exersise.
When I did this diet before I had so much weight to lose it fell off just by the food I was eating, I didn't exersise. I guess with only wanting to lose 16 lbs. I have to work harder. UGH!!! LOL!

            Thanks for letting me ramble.

              Re: Not losing either

You have already lost 7 pounds, so are not displaying a metabolic resistance to weightloss, and staying on induction doesnt seem to have increased your weightlosses, why not move to OWL and see if the extra 'good veg carbs' stimulates the scales into action?

Are you measuring - inches lost even when the scales dont move = fat lost too!
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

                Re: Not losing either

I know how you feel! I lost 4 lbs. during 2 weeks of induction and have decided to stay on an extended induction. It's coming off much slower for me this time around as well. I also haven't been diligent about exercising, so that we have in common. But, I'm not giving up & neither should you! I would try and add more veggies, but other than that your menu looks pretty good. I know for me that splenda and coffee are 2 things that I have been careful with but won't give up completely, so either of those may be stalling me, so that's something to keep in mind. Hang in there!

                  Re: Not losing either

I wanted to voice my opinion, but Elizellen has beaten me to the punch. Moving to OWL instead of staying on induction really can help jump start your weight loss. Especially if you don't have a lot to lose. I mean, in addition to doing all the other wonderful things that it does... and you already know to exercise and drink your water.

Elizellen, thank you for your post. Yes I have measured and nothing. It just doesn't seem to be coming off anywhere.
I guess it's just so frustrating becasue I am so STRICKED, with the way I eat. I watch my cheese, lil to no splenda.
I haven't been eating much lately, maybe that is the problem?

                        Re: Not losing either

My turn ..... I see you don't like veggies but one thing I try to have every day is a salad. Or I will go to a tereaki place and get chicken tereaki with no sause and no rice, if they serve salad as a side I will get the salad to replace the rice and put ranch on top, very good. For your diet I am thinking more fat and salad or veggies, salad is just my favorite form of veggies.

                              Thanks Everyone.

I think it is time for me to move on. OWL here I come!!

This morning I woke up and ate a few pork rinds with tuna fish and mayo.
I am planning on having baked chicken stuffed with spinach.
Most likely I will eat that for lunch and dinner.
Today I will drink nothing but water and no diet rite.
Definitley won't be weighing myself since my scale has no battery.
