Husband not in ketosis

Hi,

We have been on induction for almost 3 weeks. My husband has lost 10 pounds, I have lost 7, but we have both lost inches, a lot of inches! Anyway, we bought these Ketostix. Mine show the highest amount of ketosis almost all the time. One time it was lower when we went out to dinner, but still pretty high. My husband's come out negative! He test himself about 2 hours after a meal, he is eating the exact same thing I am eating. Anyone have any ideas what is going on? Thanks!

Hi.

Some people never register on those stix because the stix only measures one of the 3 ketone bodies your body produces.

If you read the FAQ board, there are about 3 threads concerning the ketostix.

Frankly, they only tell you that you are breaking down fat. They don't tell you if that's the fat you just ate or if it's the fat on your body. They don't tell you how much weight you are going to lose, either.
