  • Hey guys/experts I got a induction question.

Hey guys, I am Gel and I am on extended induction. I have 100lbs or so to lose. A lot hey!
I have been on the diet for about a month now and I am losing weight so I am happy. First off it was fast but now its slowling down a bit. I am exercising too.
Well, I was wondering, there is this new low carb beer here in australia and it had real low carbs. Something like 0.3 grams of sugar. I was wondering, since the holiday season is coming up...will drinking one of these beers kick me out of ketosis or just delay ketosis?
I looked it up on the net and it said the alchohol will fuel the body for the period where you are drunk and a few hours later, and then you will return to ketosis...does anyone have any experience on this? Anyone ever drunk a low carb beer? I live in Australia and we have low carb beers here.
I dont know if you have them in America?
    well anyway, thanks people!!!
    Peace,
    GEL

They exist all over. If you're on induction, you shouldn't be drinking alcohol, and since this is the extended induction forum, I assume that you are.

Once you get to the alcohol rung of OWL, drinking a low carb beer, or a low carb spirit, means that your body will need to burn off the alcohol before it will return back to the normal state. Whether this is only a couple hours, or a couple days, depends on you, your lifestyle, and how much you drank.

If you're willing to know that the scale is not going to continue going down while drinking, then go for it, but it's a choice of what is more important to you. I do suggest drinking a lot of water and exercising the day after to help cleanse your system.
