Re: English Mustard?
Hi, I have always used English mustard (being from England too).
Here is the nutritional info for Colemans:
Typical Nutrient Values as sold
Portion size = 5 g
NamePer 100 g/mlPer servingEnergy kJ 733 kJ 37 kJ Energy kcal 175 kcal 9 kcal Protein 7.0 g 0.3 g Carbohydrate 16.7 g 0.8 g Sugars 11.0 g 0.6 g Fat 8.9 g 0.4 g Saturates 2.7 g 0.1 g Fibre 2.2 g 0.1 g Salt (based on sodium) 8.45 g 0.42 g
I use a different brand that has slightly less carbs. Basically, count 1g per teaspoon. I am pretty certain you are allowed this as it is used in such small quantities but adds a lot of flavour to food.
