Ok i lost like 8 pounds my first two weeks and in 5.5 weeks total was 17 pounds.
Thing that surprised me the most was its SIMPLICITY. Ok it has its rules and this and that but men have you ever tried a low cal diet, you weigh everything you cant eat large quantities(not meaning that you can stuff yourself). I find it rather expensive. OR FIT FOR LIFE you cant have rice with stew. Ok this country is the first place ive ever been that they serve rice with no stew but mind you the rice has chicken in it so its still quite tasty. I cant imagine eating plain rice alone.
Yup that was it plus i LOVE chicken!!!! i Definetly dont mind a diet with unlimited chicken. And now the more i stick at it the more i love it.

There were two main things for me, the amount of weight I had lost and the amount of extra energy I found that I had.
I voted for the weight loss bit.sigpic260/215/180 Male - 36 y/o
It never ceases to amaze me of how easy and how effective this ***diet*** is!!
I have since re-gained a bit of weight, but that is soon to be coming off again!

Wow, this vote was tough, as all of the choices on the Poll are so rewarding.
I had to narrow it down to "never being hungry", mainly because you can lose weight on MANY diets or WOE's, but if you're experiencing feelings of starvation you're certainly not going to continue to lose weight, because you're not going to stick to the plan....so that nix's the weight loss benefit right there.
It was close, between that choice, and how much better I instantly felt within DAYS of this WOE. I honestly felt like a walking zombie with my Carb indulgences, the lethargy was horrible, as well as the fact that I could eat a bowl of mac n' cheese and 2 hours later I was looking for something else to eat; it was horrible, a vicious cycle!
If you stick to this WOE for 2 weeks, the cravings, mindset and willpower almost take care of themselves. My friends have complimented me so many times on my 'willpower', and I honestly have to admit to them that this WOE is NOT about willpower, the diet itself takes care of that for you, chemically, through the way it changes your metabolism, cravings, and hunger. It's so strange to me to try to explain it to someone who has never eaten this way.
NEVER would I have thought that I could sit right next to someone at dinner eating mashed potatoes and not fight them to the kill for that plate, but it's happened, and I'm absolutely fine with it. :icondance

I think the thing I love most about this WOE is it's adaptability. I mean you can't expect adapting too many things (like cookies or brownies) but I still eat stuff like steak fingers or a crispy chicken salad. I just bread them myself. Last week I discovered I could have applesauce on induction if I used zucchini. This WOE really allows me to be creative in the kitchen.Mere

I had to go with the no deprivation because, I could lose weight just as easily on other diets, but I felt like I was starving myself all the time or I would eat too much of the stuff I liked.
The honest truth, is that on Atkins, I don't like any of the foods allowed on induction enough to over eat them and I always get full. Then once I am in Ketosis...my appetite is gone.
However it takes me awhile to adjust my work outs (I run) and without carbs I feel sluggish at least the first week. I never get an energy surge as some folks do, but after a week I don't feel weak and dizzy anymore.
I couldn't say weight loss was any faster...actually I lost more weight initially on an uninteded diet of Lean Cuisine and sugar free cookies for two weeks than I did on a strict. Atkins induction. Go figure.

I had to go with never hungry or deprived...I was never happy on a low fat diet as i had to cut out most of the foods i loved, steak, cheese, cream butter...I remember being on weight watchers having my dinner of 3 ozs of grilled fish or 3 ozs of skinless chicken (exactly 3 ozs of course..barely a bite!) and my salad with fat free dressing... while my husband was eating a steak with his vegies covered in butter etc. That's why i always failed....I was never happy with the food choices or amounts. This WOE has also for some reason given me a new appreciation for veggies...i think being able to have them with butter, mashed with cream etc has helped!Jen, 39, F

I voted for the energy I feel. I've always been a nonenergetic person, probably because of all of the carbs I had been consuming. Its great to have all of this extra energy. Its a miracle for somebody like me! I also enjoyed the 7 lb. loss in the first week, it seemed to just melt off effortlessly.Started 4/18/04
