  • For how long do you want to follow extended induc. ?

Just wonder for how long have you planned to follow extended induction,,,,,,,,,,,,,, I am not sure about my plan yet, I am a 6" guy, I was 202 lbs a month ago, now 188 lbs, already got flat ab, but just started workout (it is my third day, for two days i did those "hip hop abs" dvds, got it from a friend, one day did part 1, the thrid day did part 2, and the day in between I did dvd of ballet bootcamp!!! my first encounter with ballet , at the age of 37, hehehe, anyways, it was hard, and i sweat like ****)
so, now with sports and continuing induction, I hope to lose another 23 lbs in two months period (ending up 165 lbs),

still not sure how realistic is this,,,,,,,,,,,as I am kinda a little strong guy (could do 300lbs bench press and I did martial arts highest level for more than 10 years many years ago,,,with extreme workout,,,,,,,but not now ,now just sedentary life)

so dont know if this 165 lbs, is realistic??????????

how do you consider your ideal weight??? do you want to follow just by lbs, or by bodyfat (measuring by kliper and putting measurement on curves and ...).............

so, what is your weight goal, how do you set it ? and for how long do yo u consider following extended induction ?

    good luck

Well, since you don't have much to lose anymore, I would suggest moving at least to OWL1. Most will find that their weight loss stalls when they start approaching goal, and moving up the rungs help them along. Good job with the exercise! I'm sure it will end up helping a lot in the long run. 23 lbs in 8 weeks would equal to roughly 2.8 lbs a week which is do-able. Have you measured your BMI? It would help to know within what weight range you are considered at a healthy weight, which will help you determine your goal. Don't get too set on a number, though, it's all about how you feel! I am personally on extended induction since I still have 50 lbs to lose.
Weight loss currently on hold! Baby due 11/22/09

Hi, good luck with your weight loss,
that is the point I am talking about, I was 71 kg when I was in my 20's, with the same height, now (37 yo) I believe I am much more muscular than my 20's, and I used to be 92 kg when started atkins and now (in a months period) I am 85.5, although my ab is kinda flat now, but my BMI is 26 now!!!! and I would still be considered overweight until I go under 82 kg, which I go for it but I believe i would look like a little fasted/wasted,,,,,,,
if I go by BMI, I would go for the lower range of the normal which is 18.5-25

so, by BMI, I would like my BMI be 19-20,,,,,,,,,but , for becoming this MBI, I should become 66 kg!!!!!!..........even in my oldest days , which I used to have semi-six packs , with no fat, and I had half the muscle now I was always 71 kg..............

      hmmmmmmmmmm

(I am thinking for becoming BMI 20 , would I lose some muscle, and would I look like a person with endstage disease, or not)

don't know about pitfall of bmi calculations.......but some book put a lot of emphasis on body fat calculations, and for example mention that two different guys, both 6", both 220 lbs, if you measure body fat you could see one is 35 % (so he can lose 15% of body weight to become in normal range of body fat),.,,,,,,,,,but the other guy is more muscular, and his body fat is just 24%, so he can lose just 4% of total body weight, ,,,,,,so his nomal wieight still is much higher than 200 lbs,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

wow, long message, hope you have time to read it, my bad

any ideas of a good method for calculating ideal weight.???????????????

      cheers

Thank you. There is another thread in the main forum that is similar to what you are asking. Maybe his replies can help you a little more? http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...about-bmi.html
