  • I'm almost a third of the way to my realistic goal

    I know my sig says goal is 200, but that's my ultimate goal. 190 is a stretch goal and would probably require me to lose some muscle mass to get there (I used to work out a lot before I got big). Anyways, now that there's only 40 lbs to go before I hit my "success" goal it just doesn't seem like it's that far anymore. Heck, an extra 20 on top of that doesn't seem that far away.

    I love this diet, I love the way I feel.
    Start Date : 12/5/08
    Heavy Weight: 290
    Start Weight: 281
    Current Weight: 242

    1st Goal: 260 lbs - Met 12/19/08
    2nd Goal: 240 lbs
    Health Goal: 220 lbs
    Ideal Goal: 200 lbs
    Stretch Goal: 180 lbs

      1st goal: 139 (earlier weight)
      what the rungs mean to me:
      rung 1 - more veggies
      rung 2 - dairy (some milk in coffee)
      rung 3 - seeds, nuts (mostly sprinkled on salads)
      rung 4 - berries, melon
      rung 5 - wine -
      rung 6 - beans, hummus
      rung 7 - other fruits
      rung 8 - carrots/ potatoes (nah, prolly not)
      rung 9 - whole grains (fresh Dutch breads...)
      Major Goal - 128 lbs/ healthy range
      (on to pre-maintenance)

        Way to go! You keep pushing and before to long you'll be 2/3 of the way there. What a great feeling to be able to look back and say "I don't have to lose that again".

          Way to go.. it is possible!
          Long long long long long time ago i was 198 lbs..and now im 150 and with 2 kids.. so we just gotta push through it.
          Always live life to its fullest and with no regrets!

            Way to go! I set lots of mini goals to keep me motivted too and it really helped when i felt bogged down. Keep up the great owrk. You're going to do it!!

                  Thats great progress! 40 pounds in 2 months! Good job. Have you had any stalls?
                  Started on 1-1-2009. Male, 6'2" and 35 years old.

                  My Reasons for loosing weight:
                  to avoid diabetes, to avoid a heart attack, play with my kids without sucking wind, feel better, look better, and to enjoy life more.
