Diuretic?

My doctor diagnosed me with carpal tunnel and he prescribed a diuretic for me to take to see if that will get rid of some of the fluid on my joints. Any drawback to this on Atkins?

The funny thing is, he told me it would make me go pee more. I laughed at him and told him that if I pee more than I do now since starting Atkins, I will just have to sit on the potty all day!
