  • Yeast infection while on extended induction???

Is is possible to get a yeast infection while being on induction? I have been on induction for 4 months so I was thinking I was all clear but it looks like maybe not. I wil visit the doctor tomorow but thought one of you all could give me a little insight before then on how this might be and if treatments for yeast infection are Atkins friendly. Oh how I would appreciate any info.
    Thanks

Check out the Candida Yeast section that will tell you alot about this disease.

I had trouble with that too when I was on the diet before. If you have it on your skin, try black walnut oil if you can find it. Not the cooking oil, but the green hulls infused in olive oil. Otherwise, there is a prescription cream that works very well. A professor of mine (microbio) said that Dr. Scholl's foot powder is good for that. Also there is a pill that is said to wipe out any Candida in your system, though I haven't had to try it. To keep your gastrointestinal tract healthy, take acidophilus/probiotic capsules, and try to find the good stuff--it'll be in the refrigerated section of the local whole foods store. Hope this helps.
