caught a cold,throat drops?

Anyone have any sore throat remedys that are not sugar? I work outside year round & rarely get sick,but when I do its a doozie.I rarely take any kind of meds but its approaching 6 days & I still cant speak very well & I have to deal with customers...

Funny you ask...
I just got my daughter Cepacol sore throat spray. It seems to numb. It is cherry flavor but on the box it says sugar free. I know they also have cough drops but I don't have those. I got the spray at Walgreens.

I too have a nasty throat cold.
The best advise is gargle with warm salt water. Kills all the germs and helps slightly...but otherwise I couldn't find anything atkins friendly to help..

consider trying a Neti Pot. They are like little teapots and they have a special saline mixture you add warm water too. They basically rinse out your sinuses, sounds weird but no it does NOT hurt, and clearing your sinuses helps with the drainage that goes down your throat causing it to hurt.

They sell perfectly serviceable plastic ones at CVS and WalGreens, etc. It really does help.

Mucinex is good too.
