Anyone think I would Benefit from spepping up a Rung???

Ok Im new here so first off what is a RUNG??? lol sorry

I have been on the diet since the 15th of december. I havent really lost as quickly as I thought I would. I mean I see people on here losing 30lbs in about 39 days and im sitting here only losing 20 lbs since the 15th of december....

what is involved with moving up a rung and do you think i would benefit to start the weight loss coming more rapidly...and I have taken measurements....not losing inches

Ummm, 20lbs in that amount of time is amazing. I have lost maybe 7-8 lbs in 4 weeks of Atkins. I wouldn't complain. WE could always change and I will take your 20lbs weight loss..

The Ongoing Weight Loss (OWL) phase of Atkins is divided into "rungs"... which together form what is called "the carbohydrate ladder". If you don't have the book (I've just seen you live in the US... so go buy it, it's just a few bucks!), there are some stickies on the board explaining how one should do OWL:

As to whether moving to OWL will increase your weight loss rate, it really depends on every person. But in my opinion, 20 lbs lost in about 6 weeks is excellent! Don't expect them to come down overnight. Are you exercising?
