ive been on induction for 1 month because i relapsed a few times into eating non-induction foods.

Will it be very bad if i eat a small piece of chocolate or pound cake once a week? will it stop my weightloss ?

How about moving onto OWL - how much do you have left to lose?
With owl you can (once you are on the right rung) use almond flour for cooking and with splenda, you can make legal chocolate cake. It will be a lot better for you than messing up ketosis by eating sugar and white flour.

veges, dairy, berries, nuts and seeds, booze, legumes, fruits, starchy veges and whole grains are the rungs. You move through each food group gradually and see how it affects you.

Really suggest you read the book, chapter 11 of Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution 2002 will explain this phase of the diet a lot better than me

You can also make chocolate cake with ground flax (linseed).
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

thanks alot. I think i might eat some almonds for snacking. Or any kind of nuts, ill check how many carbs in them first though. I think it will be alot compared to 20.

              Nice smile by the way!

I want to make it very clear for any newbies reading this thread that no, It is not all right to have a small piece of chocolate or foods like that during this diet.

As Dr. Atkins says in DANDR, cheating is the 'kiss of failure', and he himself would come down hard on his patients for cheating even a 'little bit'.

It's important to read the book, and the FAQ's so that you understand the 'why' behind Atkins, and how it is centered around keeping your blood sugars on an even keel. This helps a person understand why we are given Induction, and then the various rungs of OWL to follow.

The more you know, the higher your chances for success! :yes

Many of your post have been about the loose skin you have and how you are afraid you won't lose it. Pound cake isn't going to help. Either you are serious or you aren't.

I don't disagree with the advice you have received that it is time to move on to OWL. But do it by the book because if you do it your own way, it is likely we can't help with your questions.

When you are alone in your head, you are in a bad neighborhood.

Hi amrsalem, I noticed that you have been on Induction for a month. So I'm going to move your thread to the Extended Induction forum so the 14 Dayers won't get confused by your posts about chocolate cake, etc.

Oh and in the future can you please put down your stats: height and weights. If you are shy about your weight, you can write down how many pounds you need to lose instead.
