  • Finally done with the first 2 weeks =)

    allo allo,

I'm finally done with the first 2 weeks of uninterrupted induction! yaha! no cheating, nada, better yet, no urge to cheat. Damned co-workers keep bringing in krispy cremes & donuts, and bagels & i haven't even been tempted for a minute to break the diet. (ok, maybe the Krispy Creme was slightly tempting..)

    Lessons learned?
    - Planning is everything. If you have all the kind of foods your allowed in reaching distance, it's MUCH easier to stick to the diet.
    - Get the food that isn't atkin's friendly outta there.
    - Don't drive by In'n'OUT. it's jsut evil =)

I've lost a total of 12lbs since Jan 1st, yaha!

I'm thinking of continuing induction, does anyone know of any reasons not to do that? The only issue i've been having is that i think i don't eat enough. I'm jsut not hungry all the time, so i forget that i need to eat.

Thanks in advance for any info!

Hey, well done - that is a really good start to this WOL and will make the rest of the journey easier

I would say there is no rush to go to OWL if you are feeling satisfied with your menu and with your choices. Don't leave it too late, however, because you need to time work through OWL properly.

Well done on the loss so far!

Congratulations on your success so far! Keep it up!

If you are getting bored with your food choices and/or your weight loss slows I suggest starting OWL. Remember, OWL rung 1 is extra veggies. I've moved up the OWL rungs since my 12/10/08 restart and have had great success. I'm am absolutely tickled with the variety of food I can choose from, enjoy it guilt free, and still see the scale moving in the right direction.

      Wishing you the best...

whatailsus, congratulations on your great start! I had to learn the hard way about planning. Glad you were a little smarter than I was!

I plan to stay on Ongoing Induction until I've lost 20 pounds, then will start moving up the OWL rung.

        Good luck!

Way to go!! Have you looked at fitday.com yet? It's really very helpful. I think you'd enjoy the extra information and sometimes confirmation that you're on the right track. Sometimes it'll let you know your percentages are off or that you're not consuming the amount of calories you think you are. It's a great tool!

Good for you! Enjoy that full feeling. I've been working out really really hard lately and I'm fighting serious hunger issues.

Re: Finally done with the first 2 weeks =)

Congrats on your loss so far! I stayed on induction for 4 weeks and truthfully, didn't loose any weight after the 3rd week so I went on to Rung 1 on Monday of this week. I've seen others post that they continued to loose months after beginning induction so I think it's up to you.

I agree that planning is key to each day. After dinner each night I plan my meals for the next day - that way I know I have all the food I'll need, or I make a grocery list and make sure I have everything for a few days or up to a week. I've only changed my menu once since I started and that was because I hadn't planned well enough! I learned from that day and it hasn't happened since.

Hope you continue to loose quickly - and hope to see you around the board.
