  • Can pros share there induction menus with us? I need help:(

    Hi,

I was just wondering if any of the pros on here would be willing to share their induction menus with us. I have the induction menu from the Atkins website, but I don't really care for alot of the foods and alot of the recipes seem like way too much work.

I'd really be interested in seeing the induction menus of real people who have had real success.

I've been doing this for 2 years but have kind of gone off the wagon this year. I'm on induction now, day 7 I think, and haven't lost a lb. and am look for alternate menus.

    Thanks!

Well, I'm no pro at this but I'd be happy to share a few ideas.

    Breakfast:
Mock Danish---you can do a search and find the recipe
    Anything in a scrambled egg
anything on the acceptable foods list, it doesn't have to be a traditional breakfast food

    Lunch:
I love to make tuna salad with peppers and use ranch or creamy italian dressing instead of mayo.
I also like to go to a local deli and get a steak and cheese salad (as opposed to a sub).

    Dinner:
my new fav recipe is this: http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...ic.php?t=67289
I also like making a baked potato using cauliflower
    Broccoli with cheese
    Chicken Parmesan (http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...icken+parmesan)
I also make steak fingers using this same type of breading.
Buffalo wings--a staple of the Atkineer

    Snacks:
I just look in the fridge and cabinets for something that's acceptable. Can be anything from pork rinds to raw veggies to lunch meat.

Take a look at the "WHAT'S For DINNER" threads---lots of ideas there.

Remember, you don't HAVE to eat eggs for breakfast every single morning. You can eat leftovers from the night before. When I joined ADBB, there was a moderator whose favorite breakfast was taco salad! we had another moderator whose favorite breakfast was broth with some meat and veggies in it.

        Hi,
I am a creature of habit and tend to eat the same thing until I am tired of it. But, my menu has worked well for me (28 pounds in 5 weeks). So, here it is:

        Breakfast:
        Two eggs
        Bacon or Sausage
        - lately I have been eating the Crustless Quiche....It is Absolutly fantastic!!

        Lunch:
        Caesar Salad
        Grilled Chicken

        Snack:
        Pepperoni Slices

        Dinner:
        Shell less Taco Salad
        or
Chicken breasts cooked in parmesan cheese w/ alfredo sauce
        Salad

I did induction for almost 6 months when I started.. My typical menu:

Breakfast- eggs, or 3 slices of bacon and a piece of cheese.. Now I am hooked on the mock danish

Lunch - homemade chicken salad (chicken, mayo, celery, and pickles) on a bed of romaine lettuce or spinach leaves.. you can use tuna salad too

Dinner - hamburger patty with cheese, a cooked veggie ( green beans, okra, etc)
or some chicken stir fry with brocoli/cauliflower and a little soy sauce.

For snacks I would eat a slice of cheese, or some pepperoni slices.. and about 100 ounces of water each day

Now that you are cutting out the frankenfoods like that low carb cereal bar the weight should start coming off as long as you stick to the acceptable foods list...

for breakfast I usually have eggs and sausage...lunch is a chicken caeser salad and dinner is turkey meatloaf...if I snack it's usually parmesan crisps or cucumbers dipped in caeser dressing.

My suggestion is for you to review the Acceptable Food List for Induction and tell us which foods you like since your question is prompted because you don't like some foods.

One dinner that works well for us is stir fry. Any protein, any acceptable veggies and some seasoning cooked in a wok with a little oil.

When you are alone in your head, you are in a bad neighborhood.
