Extra virgin has a lower acidity level and is far superior. If cost is a worry... perhaps use extra virgin on salads and cook with the other stuff. Avoid the 'sansa' olive oil. Not sure what that's called over there in the States, but it's a re-pressing of the previously pressed olives and not good at all. But it is cheap.
